Meet Dedra Gallegos

As an employee of the Choctaw Nation, Dedra Gallegos uses the tribe’s transit system to get around the Durant campus. While the transit service offers her convenience, she understands just how vital it is to tribal elders. “Without transit, they wouldn’t be able to get to the help they need like doctor appointments,” Dedra says. “It’s the only transportation they have so without it, it would have a huge impact on their physical and financial health.”
