Meet Annie Mockacuic

A single mother raising a young son, Annie Mockacuic also lives with epilepsy which means she can’t drive a vehicle. As a result, Annie and her son rely upon the Southern Oklahoma Rural Transit System (SORTS). “If it wasn’t for SORTS, I wouldn’t be able to get to doctor appointments for me and my child and I wouldn’t be able to go get groceries,” Annie says. “In my opinion, SORTS isn’t just something out of convenience but for a huge part of our town, SORTS, without a doubt, is a life source.”
