In charge of scheduling for Little Dixie Transit, Sylvia Watkins’ daily job is to make sure the right information gets to the correct people so it all runs smoothly. She also knows that Little Dixie is easing a burden for people trying to figure out how to get to a place and when to go.

“Rural transportation to me is about providing a reliable service to people who need it most,” Sylvia says. “If we’re not transporting them they don’t go where they need to. They don’t go where they want to. “We’re also providing a way for them to interact with other people,” she adds. “We give them a necessary tool to cope with whatever they’re dealing with.”
