Richard Lloyd

As a U.S. Marine, Richard Lloyd served as a morse code operator for two years during the Vietnam War. Now retired, the 73-year-old lives in Claremore. Three years ago, both of Lloyd’s legs were amputated, requiring him to use a wheelchair to get around. As a result, he relies upon the Veterans’ Ride Connect and Pelivan Transit to get him to where he needs and wants to go. “I’m very, very dependent on it,” Lloyd says. It’s just a tremendous help for me to be normal.”
