Meet Emmy Ellis

Emmy Ellis relies upon Southern Oklahoma Rural Transportation System (SORTS) to get her to and from dialysis. A retired school teacher, Emmy’s 90-year-old mother was driving her to dialysis in Ardmore but it just wasn’t safe. “It was kind of scary,” says Emmy. “Somebody told me about SORTS so I called them and they have just saved me.” Emmy, who rides SORTS three days a week to dialysis, says she enjoys the experience. “The buses are clean and the drivers are friendly,” Emmy says “They bring you right to the front door and help you get inside.”
