Meet Teresa Forneris

A resident of Coalgate, Teresa Forneris loves her job as a driver for Southern Oklahoma Rural Transportation System (SORTS). “I love to help people,” Teresa says. “This is desperately needed here. They all have a need for this, everyone one of them.” Teresa says she takes her riders to pay bills, go to medical appointments, pick up prescriptions and sometimes to a restaurant. “Transportation in a rural community is extremely important because if it wasn’t for us they wouldn’t get what they need.”
