Meet Scot Smico

As the owner of Val’s Restaurant & Pub in Altus, Scot Simco appreciates the after hours service Southwest Transit provides on Friday and Saturday evenings. “We’ll have large groups of people come in, have dinner then want to go on to another establishment,” Scot says. “We just call the transit and they pick them up.” Scot says he appreciates the weekend service because it offers an opportunity for folks to enjoy themselves. “The end result is this saves lives because when this bus goes to a local bar, it may take 30 people home and that’s 30 less cars on the road at 2 am,” Scot says. “There’s actually zero reason to get a DUI because every location has the transit phone number.”
